MISSION WORK

Bringing Hope and Changing Lives

Kirk and Emily Ogden

Kirk and Emily Ogden are based at South America Mission headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C. SAM is an evangelical and interdenominational organization supporting missionaries in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, and Peru. As executive director, Kirk shepherds missionaries, cultivates the vision for SAM’s participation in the Great Commission, and provides strategic leadership. Emily gathers missionaries’ prayer requests, assists them with donor communication, and also helps with member care and hospitality as missionaries and partners pass through the home office. Jorge and Ginny Enciso

Jorge and Ginny Enciso are missionaries who serve with South America Mission in Bogota, Colombia. The Encisos' nonprofit program, Viva Youth, focuses its efforts on aiding orphans who grow up in state institutions, in part because of longtime political upheaval and conflict. The young people exit the system when they turn 18, unadopted and unadapted to a life full of risks and vulnerability. Through Viva Youth, these young people find a family—they are actually called “cousins”—and have an opportunity to learn skills and heal emotionally. To learn more, visit Viva Youth on Facebook or click here for the Encisos' profile on SAM's website.

Rafiki:

The Rafiki Training Villages perform two main functions. First, they provide living, medical, and educational facilities for orphans and vulnerable children in ten of Africa’s most impoverished nations. Second, they train African churches and governments to care for and educate their orphans and support their widows. The Rafiki Training Villages are operated by Rafiki Overseas Staff who are long term missionaries. They are assisted by national workers and short term missionaries. Together this team accomplishes the dual purpose of the Rafiki
Training Villages—to help orphans and widows and train others to do the same.

This is achieved through the Foundation’s five programs:

Childcare, Education, Bible Study, Advanced Learning, and Widows. www.rafikifoundation.org
