Empowering Every Soul

Hello Lexington Presbyterian Church family,

The Property Committee has been informed by our elevator maintenance company that a special part to repair the elevator and get it running again is being ordered. We are unable to know how long this will take. In the interim, if you or any family members and friends have mobility issues, please plan to enter through the courtyard automated door for entry to the Sanctuary or Brady Chapel. For events or classes on the Dunlap and Westfel levels, please plan to enter through the Randolph Street door. Organizers of classes and meetings planned for the mid-level Rooms 111 and 113 who have attendees with mobility issues should contact the church office to reschedule for a different room. Unfortunately, for individuals with mobility issues who are in the Sanctuary or Brady,  this situation prevents use of the restrooms. We apologize for the inconveniences this causes so let’s pray for speedy delivery of the part and installation to follow.

Regards,

The Property Committee

We provide access to the Sanctuary and all levels of Murray Hall for those with mobility impairments, unable to negotiate stairs, or in a wheelchair. If at any time Tuesday through Friday you are unable to access the building, please call the Church office at 540-463-3873.

Support for the Visually Impaired

In the sanctuary our ushers can offer you large-print bulletins containing the order of worship and also large-print hymnbooks.

We regret that we do not have large-print copies of the songbooks used for the 8:45am services in Brady Chapel.

Hearing Assistance

We have devices that can be used to enhance the auditory portion of the service. Please do not hesitate to ask an usher about this service.

Parking

On Sunday mornings we reserve a space on Main Street in front of the sanctuary for handicapped drop-off.

There is a designated handicapped parking space on Randolph Street beside the ramp entrance.

Wheelchair Accessibility

From Main St. enter the Sanctuary and Murray Hall through the doors that open onto the courtyard between the two buildings and adjacent to Main Street. The elevator just inside the entrance provides access to all levels of Murray Hall. A ramp corridor to the right of the elevator leads to Brady Chapel and the Church office.

From Randolph Street there is a ramp leading into the Dunlap wing of Murray Hall from the alley between the Church and the library. Once inside and down the hall a ramp leads to the second story of Murray Hall and provides access to the elevator. There is a designated handicap parking space on Randolph Street adjacent to the ramp.

Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available on all floors of Murray Hall.

Wheelchairs are also available.

Elders will serve the elements of the Lord's Supper to you at your seat upon request.
