Resuming In-Person Worship

Beginning as soon as possible, our 8:30am Sunday worship service (note the time change) will be via Zoom/live stream and 11:00am Sunday worship service will be in-person/ YouTube live stream (no Zoom).

There is one caveat:

The Worship Committee will monitor the Virginia Department of Health website for locality tracking. A link to those figures is below. The metric used will be the cases per 100,000 population 7-day average for the city of Lexington, the city of Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County. If any one of the three locales have a 7-day average above 15 cases/100,000 the in-person worship service will be cancelled for the following Sunday and broadcast via zoom and you tube. For example, the worship committee will take the 7-day average on Friday, October 16 to determine if in-person worship will happen on  Sunday, October 25. The same will happen on Friday, October 23 to determine if we have in-person worship on Sunday, November 1, and so on.

This will allow us to make an announcement at Sunday services if we will postpone in-person worship or if we will be worshipping in person the following week. When we worship in-person there will be a required registration for all attendees that will begin the Monday before in-person worship (registration for Sunday, October 25th will open on Monday, October 19th). You can register via Realm, an email to Kimberly Kennedy or call the church office to make your reservation (540-463-3873). Please know that masks/social distancing will be mandatory for all in-person worship services.

Trained ushers will seat you in designated seating throughout the sanctuary. All the necessary protocols and precautions will take place in order for us to be able to worship in-person.
