Scripture for the Week Joshua 24: 14-15 Now therefore revere the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness; put away the gods that your ancestors served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. Now if you are unwilling to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.	Vacation Bible School Vacation Bible School will be August 2 - 6, 2010. The theme for this year is Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God! Children from age 3 through 5th graders are invited to become cadets and board the starship Galactic Praise to learn about our awesome universe - and our awesome God - in a whole new way. The Bible stories reveal the wonderful, magnificent, powerful and living presence of God. Through our trusty puppet, Galileo the Gorilla, we will learn "green" tips each day that help us become more aware of how to take care of the planet that God has given us.	Rockbridge Rapids Baseball On Sunday, 25 July, we will meet at Smith Field, W&L, at 6:15pm to enjoy a baseball game with our very own Rockbridge Rapids franchise. If 15 or more folks sign up, the group will be eligible for a catering package (BBQ, cole slaw, macaroni salad, chips, soda and game ticket) for $9.50, adults; for children (hot dog, chips, drink, ticket) for $3. Sign ups (sheet in Murray Hall or send e-mail to Lila) and money are needed by Friday, July 16. Money may be left at the church office. The meal will begin at 6:15 p.m. Those who don't want to participate in the group meal may simply show up for the game at 7pm and pay there. Other concessions are available at the park.
