Come hear what’s happening in Puerto Rico and find out what you can do to help. Join us in our efforts to bring Puerto Rican culinary students, whose school was destroyed by Hurricane Maria, to Rockbridge County where they will continue their studies at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (DSLCC). The fundraiser dinner features authentic Puerto Rican dishes including beans and rice, plantains, roast pork and chicken, rice pudding and more. There will be presentations by George Huger, chef/owner of the Souther Inn, Ben Worth, Vice President of Academic Affairs at DSLCC, and Aly Colón, W&L journalism professor. We will Skype with Juan Rivera, president of the Asociación Gastronómica y Culinary de Puerto Rico. The dinner is free.
