Murray Hall - Completed WorkIn late 2011 the construction work in Murray Hall was completed. We now have an elevator and ramp to provide access to all levels and wheelchair accessible restrooms both on the first floor of Murray Hall and in the Dunlap wing. In addition a new kitchen enhances our ability to prepare and serve fellowship dinners for church members and the community. Brady Chapel has been renovated and can be configured for use both as a worship space and a fellowship space. Less visible changes include extensive asbestos abatement throughout the facility and secure internet connectivity throughout Murray Hall. Additional reconfiguration of office and classroom space is ongoing to improve the usability of Murray Hall to support the community and our mission within that community and our church family.

Introduction to Faith Village
As visitors enter Murray Hall by the church office, they now see this colorful mural that invites them around the corner and upstairs to our Faith Village Christian Education area. Our elementary school-age children will learn Bible stories and concepts in a four-week rotation model that will present the subject in a variety of ways: story-telling, art, theatre, etc. |

Brady Chapel is shown here in a configuration suitable for our 8:45
Sunday worship service. After the service, the chairs are easily stacked
to open the space up for coffee fellowship after 11am worship. There is a small adjoining kitchenette that makes preparation for coffee fellowship much more convenient. |

The parlor, behind the door on the right, was relocated to make space
for the elevator. Bill Klein's office was modified to open into the same
vestibule. Sarah Hill's office also opens into this same space. Her door is around the corner on the right. The handsome antique pulpit had been in the Stonewall Jackson room. It is nice to have it displayed in a more public space. |

Here is our new elevator from the ground floor lobby by the new main
entrance between the sanctuary and Murray Hall. The elevator serves
three levels: This entrance lobby and the first and second floors of
Murray Hall. The vestibule shown above is the elevator lobby for the first floor. There is a hallway to the right of the elevator entrance that leads to Brady Chapel and provides access to the main church office without the need to negotiate stairs. |
| The new ramp provides access to the second floor of Murray Hall from the Dunlap wing facing Randolph Street. The elevator can then be used to descend to the first floor or the ground floor sanctuary lobby. |
